Enniskerry FC at The Bog Meadow

Enniskerry FC bring Football For All to The Bog Meadow and Ballyman, with academy entry from age 4, boys and girls teams, senior football, FAI Club Mark standards and a strong Wicklow community base.

Enniskerry FC identity

Enniskerry FC is a Wicklow community football club built around the motto Football For All. The club runs boys, girls, men’s and women’s teams and welcomes players from age 4 through to senior level.

The club identity uses red and white, with red and white hoops as the main colour set and green as the away colour. The crest carries the Enniskerry Football Club name, a mountain outline, a football graphic and the Football For All message.

The scale of the club is broad for a village setting: 45 percent of members are girls, the academy covers children aged 4 to 6, and the playing pathway reaches youth, senior women, senior men and over 35 football.

Bog Meadow home base

The Bog Meadow is Enniskerry FC’s main football home. It is the main named venue across the club’s own materials, Wicklow underage football and Dublin schoolboys and girls football activity.

The Bog Meadow gives Enniskerry a clear village football identity: a scenic Wicklow setting, a central meeting point for families and a home for academy, youth and community football events.

The WDSL venue detail places the club at The Bog Meadow, Monastery, Enniskerry, County Wicklow. Visiting families should use the team contact for the exact pitch area and arrival time before travelling.

Ballyman and venue spread

Ballyman is the other main club pitch named by Enniskerry FC. Together, The Bog Meadow and Ballyman give the club a two venue structure for training, youth football, Wicklow activity and larger club events.

Using both venues helps the club support multiple age groups. It also means parents should check whether a session is at The Bog Meadow or Ballyman before setting out, especially for younger players or first time visitors.

The two venue setup also gives Enniskerry flexibility when running weekend football, academy sessions and event days.

FAI Club Mark

Enniskerry FC hold FAI Club Mark Entry Level accreditation. The club was awarded the mark in September 2025, recognising standards in governance, management and administration.

For families, Club Mark means the club has a formal structure, qualified and vetted coaches, child welfare standards, transparent management and a safer playing environment. It also gives volunteers a clear framework for how the club runs on and off the pitch.

The club’s own explanation of Club Mark focuses on doing things the right way: structure for success, qualified coaching, parental reassurance, strong governance and long term stability.

Academy and player pathway

The academy starts the pathway for children aged 4 to 6. Enniskerry also list pre academy membership for children born in 2022 and younger, academy membership for children born in 2020 and 2021, and Cubs for children born from 2018 to 2020.

The youth pathway then runs through U8 to U18 football, with playing and training membership for that age range. Senior routes are also present through the senior women’s team, senior men’s team and over 35 football.

That range gives families more than one entry point. A child can begin in the academy, move through youth football, continue through teenage teams and still see adult football routes inside the same club.

DDSL and Wicklow team depth

Enniskerry FC have boys and girls activity across DDSL and Wicklow schoolboys and girls football. Current DDSL entries include boys teams at U8, U10, U17 and U18, girls teams at U8, U9, U11, U13, U15 and youth level, plus an U18 FAI Youth Cup route.

The Wicklow pathway adds underage team activity around U10, U11, U12, U13 and U14 levels, with Bog Meadow and Ballyman both appearing as practical football venues for club activity.

The combined footprint is important because it shows Enniskerry as both a Wicklow community club and a club connected into wider Dublin schoolboys and girls football.

Governance and club officers

The 2025 to 2026 committee includes chair, club secretary, treasurer, head of football, boys secretary, girls secretary, senior men, senior women, membership, procurement and facilities, and events roles.

The club also names dedicated children’s officer routes for safeguarding, vetting and child welfare. This gives parents separate contacts for football administration, membership, boys teams, girls teams, senior football and welfare concerns.

A clear committee and officer structure supports the FAI Club Mark standard and helps a volunteer run club handle a large boys, girls, academy and senior football programme.

Enniskerry FC place child safety and respectful behaviour inside the club structure. The available club documents cover anti bullying, child safeguarding, code of practice and conduct, parent conduct, volunteer recruitment, equality, complaints, the Club Mark award, coach information, incident and accident handling and injury guidance.

The club also states that it does not take photos or video of children without consent, does not use advertising on its site, stores supplied data securely within the EU and keeps cookies to a minimum.

For parents, that combination of safeguarding contacts, welfare documents, consent rules and Club Mark governance makes the club easier to assess before a child joins.
