Greystones United AFC football
Greystones United AFC gives local players a route through youth football, with Woodlands, Greystones, County Wicklow, A63 NH00 at the heart of club football.
Club identity
The Seahorses of Greystones
Greystones United AFC carries the football story of the town from the first local team formed in 1923 through the modern club created when Greystones AFC and Greystones United FC came together in 2015.
The seahorse crest and green-and-white identity connect that history to a broad present-day programme for boys, girls, women and men.
Youth pathway
Football for every age and ability
The club runs boys’ and girls’ football from academy age through youth levels, with the official academy welcoming both boys and girls. Current club information describes more than 60 teams and a pathway that reaches senior football and women’s national-level competition.
Age groups, team names, divisions and 2026–2027 relationships are displayed through the native Teams module, keeping every squad in its own competition context.
Colours and crest
Green and white with seahorse character
Greystones United AFC retains traditional green and white colours, with red and black listed as alternative colours after the 2015 merger. The enhanced crest preserves the seahorse, striped shield and club lettering while giving the identity a sharper finish for the profile artwork.
The canonical crest and club record continue across connected teams, fixtures, results and standings.
Woodlands and Archfield
A Wicklow football hub
Woodlands is the club’s main home beside Greystones South Beach, with a clubhouse, full-size all-weather pitch and multiple playing fields. Archfield on Victoria Road remains an important secondary pitch for training and matches.
The club’s history records the first Woodlands match in May 2006 after the site was secured in 2003. Fixture cards remain the authority for the pitch and kick-off attached to each team.
Competition record
Connected football across several leagues
Greystones United AFC is connected to the DDSL youth structure for 2026–2027, while the wider club competes across the Wicklow District Football League and Leinster Senior League. The club also has a women’s national pathway developed with Bray Wanderers.
Use the native Fixtures, Results and Standings tabs to follow the latest published records for the relevant connected squad rather than reading one blended club table.
