Prosperous Utd AFC at Ballynafagh Road
Prosperous Utd AFC brings black, white and yellow football to Ballynafagh Road, with academy, boys, girls and senior teams serving the Prosperous area.
Prosperous identity
Prosperous United AFC was founded in 1999 and is rooted in Prosperous, County Kildare. The club colours are black and white stripes, with yellow used as the alternate colour.
The crest carries the Prosperous Utd A.F.C. name, the 1999 foundation year, black and white central stripes, a football mark and a strong yellow outer ring. That colour mix gives the club a clear visual identity across underage and adult football.
Ballynafagh Road visit
The home pitch is Ballynafagh Road in Prosperous, County Kildare, with W91 T9RX used for travel and match day planning. It is the main location for home football and club activity.
Families and visiting teams should confirm the weekly venue before travelling, especially where academy sessions, school hall activity or away fixtures are involved.

Academy entry points
The academy gives younger players a clear first step into football. Sunday academy activity uses Robertstown GAA Astro from 11:00 to 12:00 during the winter block.
Tuesday academy sessions use the National School Hall in Prosperous Village, with 16:00 to 17:00 for children up to first class and 17:00 to 18:00 for children from second class upward.
Parents making a first enquiry should confirm the current weekly times and bring the player age, school class and football experience so the club can point the family to the right group.
2026 boys and girls pathway
The 2026 calendar season starts in April and the club is building a broad underage intake. Boys age groups include under 8, under 9, under 10, under 11 and under 12, with new under 9 and under 10 teams planned.
Girls football is also expanding, with under 9 girls, under 10 girls, under 11 girls, under 12 girls, under 15 girls and under 16 girls. New girls teams are planned at under 9, under 10 and under 11.
Winter teams and older age groups
The 2025 to 2026 winter season gives older boys a competitive route through the second half of the season, with teams listed at under 13, under 14, under 15, under 16 and under 18.
Those teams bridge the underage pathway into adult football, giving players a staged route from school age football towards the senior group.
Senior men and second team
Senior football has returned strongly for Prosperous United. The club is fielding a Senior Men team and has enough player interest to add a second KDFL team.
The senior side plays in Kildare DFL Division 1 and also appears in county cup football, including the KDFL Division 1 Cup, the KDFL League Shield and the KDFL Lumsden League Cup.
Home senior fixtures include Ballynafagh Road as the venue, keeping adult football visible within the same community setting as the youth pathway.
Recent match and season context
The 2025 Kildare DFL Division 1 table placed Prosperous United sixth after 18 matches, with 7 wins, 3 draws, 8 losses, 37 goals scored, 32 conceded and 24 points.
Recent senior fixtures included Monasterevin AFC, Sallins Celtic, Newbridge United FC, Newbridge Rovers, Maynooth Town FC, Kilcullen AFC, Clane United AFC, Bush Celtic, Caragh Celtic and Old Fort Celtic FC.
That schedule gives the club a clear Kildare football footprint, with regular league and cup football against established local opponents.
