A Sligo club identity with school age and adult records
St Johns FC Sligo carries a 1981 crest, a Sligo Ireland ribbon and a public trail across school age and local adult competition.
Club identity
The Sligo St Johns badge
The St Johns FC badge used on TeamStats identifies the club as a Sligo football team, with Est. 1981 on the shield and a lower ribbon naming Sligo Ireland. That separates this page from St Johns Athletic in Roscommon and any generic St John’s FC listing.
The crest colours are sky blue, green, white and black, with a goal, football, hills and open sky. The page keeps that Sligo identity at the centre.
Location
Sligo area football
TeamStats lists St Johns FC as a soccer team from Sligo, County Sligo, Ireland. Public sources do not give a single verified home ground in the available club trail, so use fixture notices for the exact pitch and entrance.
This map is an area guide. Confirm the current match ground, parking and arrival time directly from the team notice before travelling.
Competition trail
Adult and school age references
Sligo Leitrim Junior Soccer League material lists St Johns F.C. in Strands Bar Division Two for the 2025 and 2026 season trail. That gives the club a live adult competition reference in the Sligo and Leitrim football structure.
School age references also appear in the public trail. A Connacht Football Association result from February 2022 listed St John’s FC Sligo in the under 17 cup setting, while the SFAI club map includes St Johns FC as a national directory club entry.
For players
What to check before joining
Because the public trail is split across directory, TeamStats and competition records, a first enquiry should focus on the current team contact. Ask which age groups are active, which league the team is in, and where training or fixtures take place this season.
| Area | Question to ask |
|---|---|
| Identity | Is the team listed as St Johns FC Sligo, St Johns F.C. or St John’s FC Sligo on the fixture notice? |
| Venue | Which ground is being used for this match or training night? |
| Youth | Which school age squads are active for the current season? |
| Adults | Which Sligo Leitrim Junior Soccer League division is the team entering? |
