Club history
Bearna Na Forbacha Aontaithe began as Barna United in 1996 and was reorganised in 1999 around a small underage group training in Bearna National School Hall. The club joined regular Galway and District League competition in 2004–2005. It adopted its present name in 2010 as its membership extended across Bearna and Na Forbacha and an adult team restarted. In summer 2015 it established girls’ U8 and U10 squads. Its history describes An Sportlann in Na Forbacha as a base for the club’s football activity.
