Bohermeen Celtic FC

Bohermeen Celtic connects a 1989 foundation with Derek Brady Park, green and white identity, boys and girls youth football and recent Paddy Ball Cup success.

Bohermeen Celtic identity

Bohermeen Celtic FC is a County Meath club founded in 1989. Green and white colours connect the club’s boys, girls and adult teams, while Derek Brady Park provides a permanent home for the parish football community.

The club’s pathway includes youth football in the North Eastern Regional League and adult activity. Families should ask which age group and programme best fits the player before registering.

Derek Brady Park

Derek Brady Park sits beside Bohermeen’s school and church in County Meath. The six acre site contains two pitches and supporting facilities, giving the club a dependable base for training, youth football and adult matches.

Confirm the entrance, named pitch, parking and access arrangements with the team contact before travelling.

From local matches to a permanent home

For many years Bohermeen Celtic had no permanent ground. The club secured land in 2017 and levelled three fields to create the six acre site, naming the new home for Derek Brady, a local player closely connected with the club.

The official opening in September 2023 brought younger children, boys’ and girls’ challenge matches, commemorative medals and the first Paddy Ball Cup together in one parish celebration.

Boys and girls football

Bohermeen’s youth programme includes competitive boys’ and girls’ teams in the NERL, with younger coaching groups also part of the ground opening programme. Team availability and age groups can change between seasons.

A first enquiry should include the player’s year of birth, previous experience and the preferred programme. The club can then explain the correct team, session time and registration step.

Senior Paddy Ball Cup success

Bohermeen’s senior men retained the Paddy Ball Cup in 2025 after beating OMP by 3 to 1. They led by two goals at half time, absorbed the response and added a third before the trophy presentation.

The cup gives younger players a visible link to the senior section and shows how the club’s permanent home supports football across several age groups.

Youth cup final milestone

In September 2026, Bohermeen celebrated boys’ and girls’ youth teams reaching their cup finals against Parkvilla at the MDL. The shared milestone recognised the players, coaches and families across both pathways.

Youth cup runs provide valuable experience in preparation, teamwork and match day routines, whether or not the final result goes their way.

Club colours and match preparation

The club’s green and white jersey is paired with green shorts and green socks. Those colours help teams identify one another around the North Eastern Regional League and local grounds.

Visiting teams should settle any kit clash with the organiser before travelling. Players should bring the confirmed kit, water, suitable footwear and weather appropriate clothing.

Joining, volunteering and safeguarding

Bohermeen’s club platform platform carries club news and a membership route. Coaches, team mentors, committee members, referees, grounds helpers and parents all contribute to keeping the two pitches active.

Anyone working with children should follow the club’s safeguarding process and complete the checks and training expected for the role. The NERL contact details gives the secretary’s number as 087 750 8003.

First visit guide

For a first enquiry, send the player’s age, football experience and whether the interest is boys, girls or adult football. Ask about available places, the next session, registration, pitch, entrance and any access requirements.

Arrive early at Derek Brady Park so the player can meet the coach and settle before training. Confirm parking, changing facilities and step free access with the club if those details matter for your visit.
