Bunclody AFC was founded in 1969 by members of the local youth club. It first competed at The Meadows before moving to Carrigduff.
In 2000 the club developed its Church Road home. Its history describes four full size pitches, a youth pitch, an indoor artificial pitch and a clubhouse with changing rooms, referee facilities and meeting space.
The under 18 boys won the Leinster Provincial Youth Cup in 1995. The senior men later won the Neill O’Sullivan Cup in successive seasons, 2015 and 2016.
