Burren’s 2015 under-nineteen final was a close contest. The Clare Herald’s report describes a scoreless first half before Rowan Danaher put Burren ahead early in the second period. Avenue replied through Ronan Kerin.
The deciding moment came when Maccon Byrne was fouled inside the area. Danaher converted the penalty, and Burren protected the lead through the closing stages. Captain Ryan Burke and player of the match Tomas Cullian were singled out for important defensive work.
