Castlelyons football since 1995
Castlebridge Celtic grew from a public meeting in Castlelyons on 10 July 1995. The club represents the parish and surrounding district, with a football history rooted in Bridesbridge. Today, its adult side competes in the Cork Athletic Union League, while the local youth pathway has developed through River Celtic.

A parish club with a changing pathway
The formation account names John Leetch as the first chairman, Maurice Jacob as secretary and Denis Granville as treasurer. Fr Aidan Crowley was honorary president. The same archive describes a playing pitch, training pitch and floodlit all-weather area at Bridesbridge.
