Clodiagh won the North Tipperary under 14 Major League in March 2025. A 4–1 home win over Rearcross secured the title, with two goals each from Pablo Barquin and Paul Brett. Club story
The meeting at Ryan’s pub
Clodiagh Rangers was formed on 8 July 1978 when sixteen people met at Ryan “Peelers” pub in Rosmult, Drombane. Adrian Cooke’s account of the club’s beginnings, hosted by Rearcross FC, describes the enthusiasm following that summer’s World Cup and the work needed to establish the club. Willie Corbett supplied an early set of jerseys.
The first trophy followed on 15 October 1978, when Clodiagh beat Castleview Rangers 3–1 in Templemore. The historical account describes a club drawing players from across the area, including Milestone and Ballinahow. That early local base has continued into later generations of football in Drombane.
The 2025 under 14 title is a recent youth milestone alongside the adult competition record. The cup presentation followed a home performance in which Clodiagh led 2–0 at half time and added two more goals after the break.
