Club story
Football in Clonee
Clonee United FC gives local players a route through youth football, with Damastown Park at the heart of club football.
Youth football
DDSL teams for 2026/27
In its 25 June 2026 announcement, Clonee confirmed that all underage teams would compete in the DDSL for 2026/27. The club’s current team navigation lists boys from under 8 through under 16 and girls from under 9 through youth and under 19 football. Ask about the appropriate team and current vacancies rather than assuming every listed group is accepting players.
Girls and women
A pathway into adult football
Clonee established its first girls’ team in 2012 and entered a senior women’s team in the Eastern Women’s Football League in 2022. The current senior women’s page identifies Division 4. A July 2026 club report records a 3–0 away victory over Jobstown, while the club also celebrated promotion for its under 14 and under 15 girls that summer.
Joining
Start with the player enquiry form
Use the new player enquiry form for a first approach. It asks for the player’s name and date of birth, a parent or guardian’s name, a contact number, email and message. Ask the club to confirm a place and the correct registration option. The website links to Clubforce membership; fees and training arrangements should be checked for the chosen team.
Club contacts
Football and fixture enquiries
The contact page publishes info@cloneeunited.com and names John Delaney as club secretary on 087 265 3821. For fixture arrangements, Alan Moran is listed on 086 604 6352 and fixtures@cloneeunited.com. Include the team, opponent and match date when contacting the fixtures secretary.
Facilities
Grass pitches and a sideline café
The club’s facilities account describes three full size grass pitches and four pitches for smaller games at Damastown, with dressing rooms, toilets and the Sideline Café. A mobile café was added in 2023. Visiting teams can consult the Damastown pitch layout page and confirm their pitch allocation with the club.
Club story
Littlepacers and Casta Celtic became Clonee United
Littlepacers began in 2000 to provide football for children in the growing Clonee community. Casta Celtic followed in 2002 with adult football. Their 2006 merger brought the boys’ teams and two adult men’s teams together under the Clonee United name.
The official history recalls smaller games at Littlepace Park and eleven a side football at Hunters Run before the move to Damastown. The current grounds gave the club space to bring its football programme together and develop the supporting facilities.
Clonee marked twenty years in 2026. Its June club news records a friendly at Damastown against Manchester’s Northern Quarter FC as part of the celebrations. The visitors won 2–1, with Alex Holmes scoring for Clonee. The same summer’s youth promotions and DDSL announcement document the next stage in the club’s development.
First visit and joining
Confirm the current football details
Clonee United FC welcomes enquiries through its club contact route. Include the player’s year of birth, ask for the right age group and confirm the current training time, registration steps and child-welfare contact before attending.
For a match at Damastown Park, check the named pitch, arrival point, parking and changing arrangements with the home contact. Keep boots, shin guards and a spare layer ready, and allow time to meet the coach before the session starts.
Keep the club contact and confirmed venue details together before the first session. A named age group, arrival point and coach contact give families a clear starting point for Clonee United FC football.
