Club story
A merger, early youth success and county titles
Representatives of Evergreen and St Olivers Boys met in Elm Park in July 2003, with support from the RAPID programme. Their combined club entered the Tipperary Southern & District League that August. The official history traces the earlier clubs through Evergreen, St Olivers, St Martins and Elm Park Rangers.
Celtic’s youths won the 2004 Munster Youths Cup, beating Waterford Bohemians 2–0. The club’s honours list records Tipperary Cup wins in 2008/09 and 2009/10, TSDL Premier League titles in 2012/13 and 2014/15, and the 2013 Munster Champions League Trophy. FAI Junior Cup semi finals in 2012 and 2015 added national cup runs to that period.
Player progression continues to feature in the club’s news. In August 2026, Celtic wished goalkeeper Fabian Kerton well after his move to Waterford’s Villa FC for the FAI National League. Celtic’s under 14 team sponsored him for the season, maintaining a connection with their former goalkeeper.
