Football from the academy to the senior game in Douglas
College Corinthians AFC is based at Corinthians Park in Castletreasure, on the south side of Cork city. Its programme includes an academy, boys’ and girls’ teams, youth football and adult sides. The club’s history stretches back to 1971, while its recent record includes national cup success and players who progressed to represent Ireland.

A first place to learn the game
The academy page welcomes new boys and girls and gives 086 859 8907 for general enquiries. Its emphasis is learning football skills and enjoying sessions. Ask about the age group, availability, registration fee and what your child should bring before attending. A current general membership price is not published in the sources checked.

Published academy training times
For September 2026 to June 2027, the boys’ timetable lists under 6 and under 7 on Sunday 10–11am; under 8 on Sunday 11.30am–1pm; under 9 on Saturday 3.30–4.45pm; and under 10 on Saturday 1.30–3pm. The same page lists girls aged 6–10 on Wednesday 5.30–6.30pm. Confirm the appropriate group and any session changes directly.
Teams
Schoolboys, schoolgirls, youths and adults
The club programme connects academy football with teams in the Cork Schoolboys League, Cork youth competitions and the Cork Women’s and Schoolgirls Soccer League. Adult men compete in the Munster Senior League. Current September fixtures use the name Corinthian Boys for schoolboy teams and College Corinthians for youth and senior sides, all within the club’s published programme.

The club’s location page places Corinthians Park at Castletreasure, Douglas. Its current fixture schedule distinguishes the main, back, top and lower artificial pitches, so check your assigned pitch and meeting point. The Cork Youth Leagues directory lists blue and white as the club colours and T12 XCA2 as the ground’s Eircode.
Club story
A Cork club with national honours and international graduates
College Corinthians was founded in 1971 by former UCC players. The historical account records an early base at UCC’s Farm before the move to Castletreasure in 1990. Schoolboy football began in 1994, adding a youth programme to the adult club. The current ground brings those generations of football together in Douglas.
The club roll of honour records national youth success, including the under 15 Evans Cup in 2017/18 and the FAI under 17 title in 2021/22. Its 2024/25 honours include the FAI Youth Cup, Munster Youth Cup and under 18 Premier Division, alongside league wins for under 14 and under 12 girls’ teams.
The senior men won the 2024/25 FAI Intermediate Cup, beating Ringmahon Rangers 2–1 after extra time on 19 April 2025. The following season’s club record adds the Donie Forde Cup and over 35 league, while the under 12 teams collected further league and cup honours.
The club’s account of its former players identifies Adam Idah and Megan Connolly among those who began their football with Corinthians and reached senior international level. For today’s young players, the local route remains clear: begin with the suitable academy group, then progress into age group competition as experience and eligibility develop.
