Green and white at Pearse Park
Football in green and white, from a child’s first sessions to the adult game at Pearse Park.
The Town
A football home since 1959
Enniscorthy Town FC began on Monday 19 October 1959. Its green and white colours, castle crest and Pearse Road home give the club a recognisable place in the football life of Enniscorthy. For local families, this is the Town: a club where the youngest players can start close to home and older players can continue into adult football.
Pearse Park is the meeting point across those generations. The club’s history includes men’s A and B teams alongside schoolboy football, with youth teams providing the next step as players approach the adult game. For a family joining the club, there is football beyond the first few age groups: schoolboys, youths and the men’s game share the same club identity.
The club reached its 60th anniversary in 2019, with a dinner dance arranged for the Riverside Park Hotel that October. The name remains Enniscorthy Town FC: a separate club from Enniscorthy United and Moyne Rangers, with its own home on Pearse Road.
Starting and progressing
From first touches to youth football
For a child taking their first steps in football, enjoyment comes before results. Enniscorthy Town welcomes enquiries for children over five, and its younger programme has welcomed boys and girls learning their early football skills. A first conversation with the club will help you find the right group for your child’s age and experience.
Schoolboy teams compete through the Wexford Schoolboys League. Youth football then provides a route into the Wexford Football League and towards the men’s game. For a player approaching that step, ask the coach about the next squad, training commitments and how the move from schoolboy football is arranged.
For the 2026–27 season
Under 10 schoolboys, youths and the adult B team are playing in September. Contact the club with the player’s year of birth to discuss the appropriate squad and training arrangements.
Parents enquiring for a girl should ask about the group for her age before attending. New adult players can contact the same club channels to discuss training with the men’s teams.
Youth honours
League titles across the age groups
2016 · Under 14 Division 3A champions
A 3–2 win over Kilmore secured the title. A hat trick from the captain settled the match and gave the young Town side its championship.
2019 · Unbeaten under 16 champions
The under 16s won their league without a defeat, drawing only once. They also reached the Wexford Cup final, finishing runners-up to Kilmore. The league champions progressed together to youth football in the Wexford Football League. Gary Murphy managed the side through its championship season.
2025 · Under 16 league success
The club’s 2025 awards celebration honoured another under 16 league title. The youths had also challenged for their title through to the final game, while younger players gained experience in the men’s team.

Open directions to Pearse Park
For an away match, check that your fixture names Enniscorthy Town and confirm the arrival time with the home coach. Enniscorthy has several separate football clubs, so a town name alone is not enough to choose the ground. Allow time to meet the coach and reach the correct pitch before the warm-up.
If someone in your group needs step-free access or nearby parking, ask the club about the entrance and arrangements before travelling. Keep neighbouring entrances clear when dropping off or collecting players.
People behind the football
Local support across the generations
The work around a team extends beyond training and matches. Parents taking players to away games, coaches giving their evenings and businesses helping with kit all contribute to football at Pearse Road.
In September 2018, Creane & Creane Insurance supplied new kits for the under 9 and under 11 squads. The same local business supported the 2019 under 16 team with jerseys and gear bags. The club also thanked the parents who drove that side to matches throughout its championship season.
Club occasions bring those people together away from the pitch. The 2025 awards night took place in the Hole in the Wall with support from Seamus Coady, bringing players and club supporters together to recognise the season’s efforts. If you would like to help with coaching, volunteering or sponsorship, contact the club to discuss what is needed.

Parents can also ask who handles child welfare enquiries and how collection after training is arranged.
