Carrowmena FC formed in 1993 and entered the Inishowen League in August 1994. Its home is The Warren at Tremone, near Carndonagh. The club colours are blue and red.

Football returns to Tremone
After Tremone Harps folded, local organisers brought football back to the area. James Elkin made land available beside Tremone Bay. The pitch officially opened on 30 July 1995 with Finn Harps facing an Inishowen selection. Read the club history.
Honours
League and cup milestones
The first team won the Fr O’Gara Cup in 2008/09, then the First Division and inaugural Charlie O’Donnell Cup in 2009/10. The reserves added a First Division title in 2015/16. Club honours.

Carrowmena appears in the Inishowen League’s September 2026 Division Two reports. The league is the source for current competition news and match arrangements.
Coaching is also part of the club’s wider story. In a volunteer tribute, Moville Celtic recognised Raymond Dougal’s work with both clubs, spanning youth and women’s football over his career. His contribution connects Carrowmena with generations of local players.
