Kilcock Celtic began as Courtown Rangers in 1970. It adopted the Kilcock Celtic name when youth football was added in 1975.
The club became a founding member of the Kildare Football League in 1994. Youth teams returned in 2000 after an earlier interruption, and girls teams were subsequently added.
A council lease agreed in 2010 allowed the club to develop a grass pitch and training area, opened in 2011. The club’s anniversary history also describes the later construction of a full size artificial pitch.
