Celtic football identity beside the Barrow valley
Kilree Celtic FC gives the Carlow pathway a Bagenalstown club profile with a current under 16 boys team on IYF.
Kilree Celtic identity
Kilree Celtic FC is a Carlow football club identity connected with Bagenalstown and the wider Muine Bheag area.
The club crest uses a Celtic shamrock motif, green and pink colour detail and a 2003 mark, giving the profile a clear visual identity for the Kilree Celtic name.
On IYF, the current team connection gives the page a focused older youth anchor at under 16 boys level.
Bagenalstown base
Kilree Celtic AFC is included in a Kilkenny and Carlow education directory as a Bagenalstown club, placing the name clearly within the town’s football community.
Bagenalstown sits on the River Barrow and is also known as Muine Bheag, so families may see both place names used around local sport and travel planning.
The Bagenalstown identity helps distinguish Kilree Celtic from similarly named clubs elsewhere in Ireland.
Playing pitch context
Local planning context places a Kilree Celtic FC playing pitch south of the Ashfield and Royal Oak Road area.
That matters for a club profile because a pitch reference gives families more than a name: it helps explain where the football activity sits in relation to the town.
The same context also highlights access to the pitch, which is a practical detail for safe arrival, parking and local movement around youth sport.
Current IYF team
The current IYF club profile includes a Kilree Celtic boys team at under 16 level in the Carlow and District juvenile pathway.
Under 16 football is a key stage for older school age players, with a stronger focus on commitment, match habits, travel planning and preparation for late teenage football.
For parents comparing Carlow clubs, that gives Kilree Celtic a specific age point rather than a broad undeveloped profile.
Community fundraising
Kilree Celtic FC has community fundraising activity linked with an Annual Pitch and Putt Classic at Bagenalstown Pitch and Putt.
That kind of local event matters because youth football clubs depend on more than training nights and match days.
Fundraisers bring families, volunteers and supporters into the club network and help keep the football environment active around the team.
Carlow football setting
Kilree Celtic sits among the Carlow football clubs connected to towns and villages across the county.
The Bagenalstown base gives the club a useful place on the county map, close to Royal Oak, the Barrow corridor and other south Carlow communities.
That setting can matter for families thinking about travel times, school routines and where older teenagers can keep playing club football.
Crest and colours
The Kilree Celtic crest combines a shamrock shape, Celtic styling, green detail, pink panels and the 2003 mark.
Those elements make the club visually distinctive on IYF while keeping the badge connected to the Kilree Celtic FC name.
The colour treatment also gives the page a different identity from neighbouring Carlow clubs that use blue, red or black as their main visual colours.
Planning a visit
Before travelling for Kilree Celtic activity, families should confirm the exact venue, arrival time, age group, footwear, parking plan, changing arrangements and weather plan with the relevant team contact.
