Club identity
A community club formed in 2008
Knockmitten United was formed in 2008 through the amalgamation of Hillview United and Monksfield United. The club adopted blue colours and grew as a schoolboy and schoolgirl football organisation serving the Knockmitten and Clondalkin area.

Academy football and player development

FAI Club Mark and local football growth
In 2021 the FAI reported that Bluebell Knockmitten had achieved the FAI Club Mark. The same account described more than 15 teams and over 200 registered boys and girls at that point, alongside three full-size pitches, smaller-sided pitches, dedicated academy areas and development work on an all-weather pitch.
