Club identity
A Tralee club with deep Kerry roots
St Brendan’s Park FC was founded in 1971. The club records 22 members in its first year, with most of those early players and committee members coming from the St Brendan’s Park area.
A team entered the top division of the inaugural Kerry District League, and the club has stayed close to the top level of Kerry soccer across its story. As numbers grew, Park became the first club in Kerry to have three teams playing competitive soccer.

Christy Leahy Park, Buntalloon
The official contact details place the club at St Brendans Park FC, Buntalloon, Tralee, County Kerry, V92 V250. The ground is known as Christy Leahy Park, named after a central figure in the club’s story.
The club history traces the move from the green beside the St Brendan’s Park housing estate to land at Croogurts and Cahermoneen. That work developed into two playing pitches, an all weather training area, clubhouse, changing rooms, referee room, laundry room, kitchen, meeting room and car park.

Academy, school age teams, youths and seniors
The Park academy is for boys and girls from five to ten years old. The club says the academy was established in 2006, runs from March to October, and uses Saturday morning sessions at Christy Leahy Park, with extra sessions as older academy players progress.
Schoolboys and girls from 11 to 16 are affiliated with the Kerry Schoolboys and Girls League. The club explains that younger age groups up to and including under 16 have a minimum playing time commitment in Kerry soccer competitions.
The under 17, youths and senior teams are affiliated to the Kerry District League. That gives older players a visible next step after the school age section.
Girls and player care
Girls teams and a fair playing time approach
The club’s own history records girls soccer entering competitive club football in the 2009 and 2010 season. The current team pages also group schoolboys and girls together from 11 to 16, and the contact form includes schoolboys and girls as a direct enquiry route.
For parents, the playing time statement is an important practical detail. Park says younger age groups up to and including under 16 have a guaranteed minimum playing time commitment in Kerry Soccer competitions, and that coaches explain the approach to players and parents at the start of the season.

Senior honours across Kerry football
The senior roll of honour records repeated success for Park teams in Kerry football. The Denny Premier A list includes six top division titles for the A team, and the cup record includes wins in the Greyhound Bar KO Cup, League Cup, Anchor Shield and Kerry area rounds of the Munster Junior Cup.
