Community football at Danny O’Dwyer Park
St. Nicholas AFC connects local school age teams with a long-running adult club in west County Tipperary.
Club story
From Junction Ramblers to St. Nicholas AFC
The club’s official history records St. Nicholas AFC’s formation in 1979 by Michael Kennedy, John Ryan, Danny O’Dwyer and Gerry Dwyer. Before the present club was established, the local team was known as Junction Ramblers.
St. Nicholas joined the Tipperary Southern and District League from its first season. Its teams used several local pitches before the club developed a home of its own at Danny O’Dwyer Park in Bohertrime.

Current LCSL football
The live Irish Youth Football cards below show St. Nicholas teams in Limerick County Schoolboys League competitions for the 2026–27 season. The published groups span school age boys’ football, with exact divisions and fixtures shown on each team page.
Team places, training times and registration details can change during the season. Confirm them with the club before attending a session.
Adult football
A continuous TSDL connection
St. Nicholas says it has played in the Tipperary Southern and District League since the club was formed. The official ClubZap site also publishes first-team results alongside underage updates, keeping the adult and youth sides within one club identity.
The official results archive includes home fixtures at Danny O’Dwyer Park and cup football against other south Tipperary clubs. Those dated results are useful club context, but they are not presented here as a complete roll of honour because the club’s honours page is still marked “Coming soon”.
