Temple United A.F.C. has its home at Temple Park on Cork’s northside. With senior and junior football in the Munster Senior League and a history that includes the 1987 FAI Junior Cup final, the club has a long connection with football in the city.

A national final and a league and cup double
Temple United reached the 1987 FAI Junior Cup final, losing 1–0 to Cherry Orchard in Dublin. That side also won the Munster Cup and Premier League, bringing a league and cup double back to Cork.
The final team included T Horgan, A Ryan, J Ricken, A Butler, A Ring, G Manning, M Hurley, S Walsh, D Devereaux, A Ricken and D Keane, with D Hussey named as substitute. Those achievements belong to the club’s adult junior team; “junior” in this competition does not mean an underage side.
Senior, junior and youth football
Temple United has teams in the Munster Senior League’s Senior Second Division and Junior Fourth Division in September 2026. Both are adult competitions, and both teams have home fixtures at Temple Park.
