Terenure · Dublin 6W

Terenure Rangers FC is rooted in Bushy Park, with football for boys, girls, women and men. The modern club brings together two local stories: Rangers AFC, founded in 1962, and Terenure FC, founded in 1970.

A Bushy Park club with two roots

The official club history traces Terenure Rangers back to Rangers AFC in 1962 and Terenure FC in 1970. Those two clubs came together in 2015, giving the present Terenure Rangers name a strong base across the local football community.

The club profile on ClubZap carries 1962 as the founding year, which fits the Rangers AFC root of the story. The combined club name belongs to the 2015 merger.

The badge is a shield marked “Terenure Rangers F.C. Dublin”, with red and gold panels, black detail and a green cross motif. It gives the clearest public reference for the club identity.

Three places visitors need to know

Terenure Rangers lists Bushy Park, Beechfield Park and Elkwood as pitch locations. Bushy Park is the club’s home ground, while Beechfield Park and Elkwood are also used for matches, so visiting teams should check the venue named on their fixture.

Bushy Park has changing rooms, a water station and toilets. Beechfield Park has changing rooms and toilets. Elkwood has two car parks, with no changing rooms or toilets listed by the club.

Football from academy to adult teams

Terenure Rangers says it fields more than 54 active teams, from U8 football through to senior men, senior women and Over 35s. The public results filters also show boys, girls, women, LSL men and U21 LSL groups.

The Terenure Terriers Academy notice opens Friday sessions in Bushy Park to boys and girls born in 2020 and 2021. The academy is linked with FutbolForYou Football Academy and is built around skill, confidence and fun.

A recent girls football notice lists U8, U9 and U10, U11 and U12, plus U13 and U14 groups, with sessions at Bushy Park and teams planned across several levels.

Squads: Terenure Rangers has too many moving parts to name every side from one public look. The main groups are clear, and individual squad links can be filled in as each season’s teams are confirmed.

Women’s cup record

The FAI’s 2025 final preview records Terenure Rangers as FAI Women’s Amateur Cup winners in 2023 and 2024. The same piece says Terenure beat Bonagee United in 2023 and Whitehall Rangers 2–1 in 2024, before meeting Whitehall again in the 2025 final at the UCD Bowl.

That run is one of the clearest recent honours in the club story. It belongs to the women’s team record, rather than being spread across every age group.

Camps, membership and match day visits

The summer camps notice names Caroline Kelly, a FAI UEFA B coach, as lead coach and says the camps include a girls only group. ClubZap is also used for membership, academy news, camp notices and team updates.

Families looking to join should use the official membership route and club notices for the right age group. Away teams should check the pitch named on the fixture before travelling, because Bushy Park, Beechfield Park and Elkwood are all in club use.

Keeping the club picture up to date

The Bushy Park roots, the 2015 merger, the three venues, academy football, girls football, camps and the women’s cup record are all strong parts of the Terenure story.

The club is large enough that no single listing stays complete for long. As teams move season by season, the squad links and match records can be tightened without losing the bigger Terenure Rangers picture.

Club history

Terenure Rangers FC traces its Bushy Park story to Rangers AFC, founded in 1962, and Terenure FC, founded in 1970. The two clubs came together in 2015.
