Tullamore Town FC is one of the main association football clubs in the Irish midlands. Founded in 1941, it serves Tullamore and a wide Offaly catchment from Leah Victoria Park on Clara Road. The club runs senior, youth and school age football for men, women, boys and girls, with camps and inclusive programmes adding routes into the game outside the standard league calendar.

History and senior football

The club developed from local competition into a side with a national footprint. Tullamore Town entered the League of Ireland B Division in the 1960s and qualified for the FAI Cup in 1967. Its defining senior success came in 1970–71, when player manager Ray Keogh led Tullamore to the FAI Intermediate Cup and a League of Ireland B Division title. The Intermediate Cup final win came against Bluebell United.

Tullamore returned to the FAI Cup proper in 2004 and reached the second round, where Athlone Town ended the run. The club also joined the A Championship when that national third tier operated and hosted matches at Leah Victoria Park. Later success included back to back Leinster Senior League Tom Cullen Cup wins in 2013–14 and 2014–15.

The current pathway spans Leinster Senior League, Combined Counties Football League and Midlands school age competition. The current official ClubZap site carries membership, news, fixtures, results, camps and club policies. Its live competition feed should be checked for the latest team placement because leagues and divisions can change between seasons.

Teams from academy to adult football

Tullamore has historically fielded several senior men’s teams, a senior women’s team and veterans, backed by boys’ and girls’ football across the school age years. The older official club record lists teams from under 8 through under 16 and youth level. Current notices confirm activity across age groups, including under 14 recruitment, girls’ football and an under 16 national trophy side.

In April 2026, the under 16 boys won the SFAI Subway National Trophy, beating Donegal Town 1–0 in the final in Kilkenny. That achievement sits beside a broad programme rather than a single elite team. The club also promotes goalkeeper coaching, summer camps, a Phoenix Ballers camp and the Disney Playmakers programme for young girls. A Football For All camp provides another supported entry point.

Irish Youth Football does not yet hold connected 2026–27 team cards for Tullamore Town. This page records the age groups supported by club evidence, but it does not claim that every historic team remains registered in the same division today. Families should use current membership and recruitment notices to confirm places.

Leah Victoria Park

Tullamore Town moved from Terry Adams Park to Leah Victoria Park in September 2007. The club described the new Ballyduff development as a €7 million football complex. It includes three sand based grass pitches, two built to international dimensions, plus a full size all weather pitch. The clubhouse has four dressing rooms, two referee rooms, a conference room, a bar and kitchen facilities. These details come from the club’s own facility account.

The ground address is Leah Victoria Park, Axis Business Park, Clara Road, Tullamore, County Offaly. With several pitches in use, visitors should check which surface and pitch number applies to their fixture. The artificial pitch has a separate booking route, and weekend traffic can be spread across several age groups.

Colours, crest and identity

Blue and white are the club colours. The crest shows a golden phoenix rising from red flames above a football, set within a blue shield. The phoenix fits a club that has changed grounds, competed at several levels and kept rebuilding its player pathway. The social channels use the Leah Victoria name as part of their identity, linking the club directly with its home.

Honours and notable football people

  • FAI Intermediate Cup: 1970–71
  • League of Ireland B Division title: 1970–71
  • Leinster Senior League Tom Cullen Cup: 2013–14 and 2014–15
  • SFAI Under 16 National Trophy: 2026

Ray Keogh’s role in the 1970–71 double gives him a lasting place in the club story. Goalkeeper Séamus Kelly moved from Tullamore Town to UCD before a career with Cardiff City, St Patrick’s Athletic, Bohemians and Longford Town, and he represented the Republic of Ireland B team. Republic of Ireland international Sylvia Gee also wore Tullamore colours during a long career in women’s football.

Membership, welfare and contact

The club publishes its constitution, safeguarding statement, player, parent and coach codes, recruitment policy and fees through ClubZap. Membership for 2026–27 is handled through the same platform. General queries can be sent through the official contact page, which lists committee contacts and a separate route for artificial pitch bookings.

Social updates are active on Facebook, Instagram and X. No single official club introduction or facilities video with confirmed external embedding was found. Match streams and short social clips were not used as a substitute.
