Football complex in East Clare
The permanent home of Tulla United AFC, one kilometre from Tulla village.
The Cragg is the home of Tulla United AFC. The club opened the complex in May 2008 after spending its first 38 years at grounds around Tulla. It is reached from the R462 Gort Road and carries Eircode V95 A061.
Pitches and clubhouse
The official facility record lists two full size grass pitches. The main grass pitch is floodlit and has team dugouts. A floodlit synthetic pitch measuring 60 metres by 40 metres supports training and small sided football and opened in 2011 through a club and Tulla Community Council partnership.
The main clubhouse contains an office, meeting and catering rooms. There are four changing rooms with modern showers, a club shop and an indoor gym. A large parking area and external equipment store serve the site.
Football at The Cragg
Tulla United uses the complex for Clare District Soccer League adult football, Clare Schoolboys and Girls Soccer League matches, national cup ties, coaching courses, camps and non competitive children’s activity. The club supports teams from early childhood to senior men’s and women’s football. In May 2022, it achieved FAI ClubMark One Star Player Development Centre status.
