Inter Kenmare was founded in 1985 as Templenoe Tigers. In 1989 it adopted the Internazionale name to reflect the different nationalities represented in the club.
After using several local grounds, including Gortumullen on the Sneem Road, the club bought land at Dromneavane. Its history describes two full size pitches and a clubhouse there.
The club provides youth and adult football and an academy. Its official address gives Eircode V93 HW88 for Dromneavane; current team availability and training arrangements can be checked through the club.
