Westport United is a Mayo football club with red and black colours and a history dating to 1911.

Club history

Westport United was formed in 1911. Its history links the club’s red and black colours to an early connection with Bohemians. Westport won the FAI Junior Cup in 2005, defeating Waterford Crystal 2–0 in the final, and the Connacht Senior Cup in 2008–2009. The Sports Park opened in 1953. Work on the club’s United Park ground began in 2013, and it opened on 25 September 2016. The older Sports Park was retained for football use.
